Net Metering (NEM)
Net Energy Metering is a concept which allowed users to benefits from solar PV energy. It is a mechanism to reduce daytime electricity from solar and the excess energy from solar will be exported and sold to the distribution licensee such as TNB. It is applicable to all domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.
Feed-in Tariff (FiT)
Feed-in Tariff (FiT) scheme was approved by Sustainable Energy Development Authority of Malaysia (SEDA Malaysia) whom obliges Distribution Licensees (DLs) to buy electricity produced from renewable energy in certain fixed rate from the Feed-in Approval Holders (FIAHs). However, this scheme was replaced by Net Energy Metering (NEM) by end of year 2017.
